The old pilot station - a glimpse into life as a pilot

At the museum you step directly into Dragør's old pilot station, preserved exactly as it was in 1984. Here you can explore the living room, offices and map room, where the shelves are full of original books, magazines, charts and pilot books.

On the first floor you will find the kitchen, sleeping quarters and the boatmen's room - with a view of the characteristic pilot tower.
Each room tells the story of a daily life characterized by waiting, knowledge and responsibility, where the pilots' work was crucial for the safety of Øresund.

Pilot boat preservation

Pilots' Day

Pilots' Day

Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Once a year, the pilots open the doors to their world and invite guests aboard the pilot boats for Pilots' Day.
Here you can hear stories from the sea, see how piloting is done in practice and learn more about why this particular job is so important for safety at sea.

It's a day filled with curious questions, technical demonstrations and little glimpses of the excitement that the pilots navigate every single day. A unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the busy pulse of the harbor.
And remember, it's free!
Dangerous waters

Dangerous waters

Øresund has always been a major shipping route to and from the countries surrounding the Baltic Sea.

Øresund is dangerous to pass through for those who are not well-versed in it. Since the dawn of time, local sailors have made a living offering their knowledge of the waters to ships passing through Øresund.
